Vietnam

Vietnam was super mega cool! We visited Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hoi An and Nha Trang. We had a great time and we all want to return one day.

Fishermen on Halong Bay

What kids will like about Hanoi and Halong Bay:

1. If your parents let you stay up later, then walking the Old Quarter at night on the weekend when they do not allow traffic is cool. It is fun to see so many people and shops everywhere. It is very busy with lots to see.

2. The water puppet show at Yen Duc Village, on the way back from our Halong Bay cruise was fun. Both Julia and I loved it.

3. There are so many motorbikes everywhere! I liked playing games during car rides about who in our family could see the most motorbikes of certain colors.

4. I really liked staying overnight on the boat in Halong bay. I also liked that our boat was called Dragon Legend and it had a small pool.

5. The hotel Manager in Hanoi, Jack, would perform magic tricks and make a coin appear in my pocket. He always smiled and said hello every time we returned to the hotel.

6.  I would recommend that you go for an ice cream  at Trang Tien as it is in an alleyway and is very busy. The ice cream does not cost much and there is a fish pond to look at while you eat your cone. I liked vanilla the best.

7. My favorite coffee shop is called Note. The walls and ceilings are covered in bright colored notes and you can write one to add to the wall too!

8. The bat cave, Thien Canh Son cave, had many steps to climb up to get to. I liked exploring the cave and imagining Bat Man there.

What kids will like about Hoi An:

1. The fresh mango and mango juice taste like candy. It is super yummy!

2. We had fun visiting My Son Sanctuary and walking around the ruins. It feels like you are an explorer!

3. I liked to walk along the river from our hotel to the town. There were lots of sticks and leaves to throw in the water. There are many boat rides you can take too. Our hotel was fun.

4. Hoi An has many pretty lanterns and they glow at night. They also light lanterns to place in the river and the city glows!

5.  I liked to walk through the market to see all of the food and items for sale! I think you might want to plug your nose though because some of the food, especially the fish, can be stinky.

6. The best ice cream we had was at Boulevard. Chocolate chip was my favorite flavor.

7. We visited a school for kids and had fun playing with them on their playground. We brought them some things they needed and my parents talked to me about sharing even when I don't want to. It is always fun to play with other kids.

What kids will like about Six Senses Ninh Van Bay:

1. The Kids club!

2. I loved to ride a bike around the island. Sometimes I sat in the kids seat on my Dad's bike but they did give me my own bike with training wheels too! We all thought it was special that they put our names on pieces of wood that they attached to the bikes.

3. I liked to play in the swing on the top floor of the house. It felt a bit like a tree house. My bed was like being in my own special box that looked at the pool! We had our own pool too which is the BEST!

4. The car ride from the airport to the hotel was like being in a hotel! I was really excited about it.

5. The beach is fun to play on. I played often with my family but I also made friends with other kids at the resort and we played with the toys the hotel gives us to use on the beach. I liked the shovels and the plastic truck. The friends I made were from China.
